The Portamate 6-Shelf Wood Storage Rack is a multipurpose racking system, providing generous storage capacity for wood, pipes, and other long items. It mounts to the wall, and at less than 4’ in height, it’s that perfect size for both ease-of-use convenience and ample capacity. The recommended mounting distance between the rails is 4-6 feet, but can also depend on your specific needs. If your material is shorter, you can certainly mount them close together (we’ve even heard of people using these to store guitars). Made from powder coated 1-inch steel tubing, there’s a 100lb capacity for each level, meaning you need not worry about heavier items or boards. Easy to install and easy to customize, applications include garage walls, basements, sheds and even outdoor fences. The rack is made from high quality, powder coated tubular steel. It provides six levels of storage with a 110-pound capacity per level on sturdy powder coated steel supports. You can install the Portamate Wood Rack mounted on drywall, masonry wall, steel wall or shed, or wood fence.
The package includes two vertical bars, 12 horizontal bars, and six spacers (plus screws). The PBR-001’s vertical bars measure 41 inches high, while the horizontal bars have a shelf depth of 12.25 inches. The recommended distance to support the designed weight capacity is 4 to 6 feet; for longer material or greater weight, multiple wood racks can be used.
The PBR-001 can also easily be customized. For example, a lip can be added to your shelves to prevent roll-off or round stock material. If you mount your wood rack closer to the ceiling, the bottom rack can be customized to provide great locations for hooks to organize power cords or power tools.
